My Friend

You don’t know me,
nor I you.

A dance that lasts a lifetime,
a serenade of secrets.

You don’t know me,
nor I you.

Until we forgive ourselves,
for the illusions we hold deep.

Until the fear subsides within us,
to, without hesitation, show us real.

And feel acceptance,
with no question.

Until we become plain,
no jealousy, no holds.

And the warmth of our being,
our only protection.

You don’t know me,
nor I you.

Until we see through each other eyes.
and suffer through each others pain.

And we celebrate within each others heart,
Surrendering all that we are.
